The Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario states that any company, having 6-19 employees, MUST have a competent Health and Safety Representative, and that person must be elected by the worker faction and approved by their peers!
This training is designed to help the elected health and safety representative become knowledgeable and competent* to carry out their responsibilities as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.* competent person means a person who,
Is qualified because of knowledge, training & experience to organize the work & its performance
Is familiar with the OH&S Act & the regulations that apply to the work
Has knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the workplace
*This is the only training available in Ontario for Health and Safety Representatives!

Health and Safety and the Law
Health and Safety Hazard-Recognition, Assessment & Control
Workplace Inspections
Accident and Incident Investigations
This full-day, in-class training will provide the participant a Workplace Safety Group, SafeWork Academy, Health and Safety Representative Certificate.
