Cash in for some of the WSIB’s $140 Million in the pot!

The renamed Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development  (MLTSD) just announced that Ontario will reward its safest employers with an estimated $140 million for excellence in occupational health and safety as part of a first-of-its-kind program in Canada.

The program, Supporting Ontario's Safe Employers, will formally recognize employers who successfully implement health and safety programs in their workplaces. The financial rewards will come in the form of WSIB rebates over a three-year period.

    • Workplace inspections/investigations, equipment maintenance,

    is there an wsib audit protocol to follow that would be different and less expensive than IHSA? Following a COR program for small companies does not seem fair and to have an auditor come from IHSA is a big expense. ie: Alberta's SeCor and COR program are much less expensive to work with. Janice
