Health and Safety Legislation can be overwhelming. Become familiar with the legal framework, and comfortable in understanding how to navigate the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). This course helps participants achieve a level of competency as required by law.

Business owners and employers must set the direction for safety through policies and procedures. They must also provide the leadership and resources to implement an occupational health and safety program. Such a program should demonstrate a reasonable standard of care and protects workers from work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities.
The law requires employers to take care and precautions with workers’ health and safety.
That means identifying and minimizing health and safety risks to workers through proactive measures. This one-day course provides a roadmap for fulfilling OHSA minimum standards for health and safety in Ontario workplaces. Participants gain practical experience in applying the knowledge taught in this course.
