Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) – PART II
Certification of JHSC members is a two-part process. The Part 2 training completes the Ministry of Labour (MOL) certification process. Part 2 training assists JHSC members in identifying hazards significant to their work environment.
Who Should Take This Course? To become certified, a JHSC member must take the Part 2 training within six months of having completed Part 1. Each safety committee must have two certified members who have completed both JHSC I and JHSC II.
What Our Participants Are Saying
“Workplace Safety Group has continuously supplied our building’s personnel and training needs with qualified and intuitive instructors. I would continue to recommend Workplace Safety Group for all of your corporate or support personnel training needs. We will continue to utilize their expertise in both the initial training and re-certifications of our site staff.”
Part 2 training covers common hazards found in workplaces. While all hazards in any particular workplace cannot be covered, those most commonly identified will be covered from the RACE perspective: 'R'ecognizing, 'A'ssessing, 'C'ontrolling and 'E'valuating.
In this way members can apply the knowledge and skills learned in Part 1 to contribute to the health and safety in their workplaces. This is fundamental to the Internal Responsibility System (IRS).
We now offer two Part Two technology packages, a) General, for all business segments and b) Healthcare, for healthcare operators.
